30 people entered December's Mystery Bird contest, with guesses including Bobolink and Lark Bunting. 26 people guessed that the bird in question was indeed a Rose-breasted Grosbeak, and here it is turned to face the camera.
This month's winner is Jason Giovannone.He wins a $30 Ventures gift certificate. This photo of a male Rose-breasted Grosbeak feeding in the silverbells was taken at Chimney Rock Park in May 2004.
