Venture to Roan Mountain

June 22, 2005

The day started nicely and we rendezvoused at Weaverville at a balmy 68°, little knowing that would be the warm point of the day! Roan was brisk and windy. When we left at around 3:30 PM the temperature at the information kiosk in the gardens was 54° and windy.

Despite the weather we had a great time and saw some beautiful sights.
