This cruise leaves Honolulu at 4 PM on Day 1 and spends the next full day on Hawaii’s “Big Island”. The following day is spectacular as we sail along the Western and north coasts of Kauai before heading east into the wide blue Pacific. We will look for seabirds and sea mammals along the way and may even find a stray land bird if it lands on the boat (it would have to be very lost!). The Anthem only docks at Kailua Kona on Hawaii, where you can spend time exploring the town, taking advantage of the cruise ship’s excursions or simply do your own thing. Simon may be doing some land birding, so if you’re interested, talk to him ahead of time. The ship sails across the wide Pacific before reaching the British Columbia coast with more chances for seabirds along the way.
