Martina Nordstrand

Martina is an avid birder and has loved nature her entire life. She was inspired after reading about Peregrine Falcons in elementary school and finally went on her first birding trips in 2012. Since then, birds have taken Martina all over the country. Some of her favorite destinations are the Outer Banks of North Carolina, Cape May, New Jersey, Florida, and New Mexico. She also enjoys birding closer to her home in Indian Trail, NC.

Currently Martina is in school working towards a degree in Wildlife Biology. Martina is involved with several local birding and wildlife groups, including Mecklenburg Audubon and the Carolina Bird Club. She is a founding member of the Carolina Young Birders Club and getting young people out into nature is one of her passions. Martina has enjoyed leading bird walks and field trips for several years, and loves being able to share the natural world with others.
